"First of all let me congratulate you on taking the first step towards making sense of your individual circumstances. It can be a daunting thought going to a Counsellor, but let me assure you that I will welcome you with warmth and compassion and do my utmost to make you feel comfortable in my sessions."
I am a registered counsellor with the BACP (British Association for Counsellor’s and Psychotherapists). I work within their ethical framework whilst running my self-employed practice from Gorseinon, Neath and Swansea City Centre.
I offer counselling to both adults and young people from the age of 16 using a variety of methods and techniques. This includes short-term techniques such as CBT and longer- term methods such as Person-centred, existential and humanistic therapies to encourage personal growth.
My experience in working with clients who have been abused, and are living with the long term effects of their trauma, has enabled me to work with such issues as stress, anxiety, depression, panic, addiction, anger issues and low self-esteem.
Asking for help is a strength not a weakness and it is the first step to changing your life for the better.
